Title/Author: Wildlife Gardening, by Martyn Cox

Publisher/Date/Price: Dorling Kindersley Publishing, 2009, hardcover $15.99

Length/Audience: 80 pgs., families

Deena’s Commentary: Instead of going far to explore nature, you can invite some into your own yard.  Maybe you want to start composting.  This book can get you started.  Maybe you like to watch caterpillars or butterflies or bees or ladybugs.  This book can tell you what to build or plant to make your yard delightful to certain creatures.  My favorite pages (pgs. 50-51) describe the life cycle of a snail (complete with pictures).
